Description
Description MCB's Stage-1 Top-End Rebuild Kit is a complete drop-in upgrade for the factory Polaris 925 Turbo engine, built for owners who want more durability and modification options over what the OEM piston (2206216/2206217) can deliver — especially under sustained boost or aftermarket tuning. The pistons are forged from 2618T/L alloy, a step above the standard 4032 material Polaris uses stock, giving you significantly better ductility, form retention, dome strength, and ring groove rigidity — the correct material choice for any turbocharged or race application. The reverse dome and larger intake reliefs are designed to support cam and timing upgrades, and the semi-full round skirt design adds stability and wear resistance under load. To keep the pins properly lubricated under the extra stress of boost, MCB added double annular, forced pin oiling. The ring stack has been lowered and anti-detonation machining applied, with a pressure balance groove built in to protect the ring margins if the waste-gate doesn't actuate quickly enough. Each kit includes .160" thick wall tool steel pins, sure seat clips, and a Gas-Nitride ring set with Napier second rings — widely regarded as the best combination available for this application. The kit is rounded out with a genuine Cometic top-end gasket set, including stainless turbo and waste-gate gaskets, so the entire boost path stays sealed.
