Remanufactured Ski Doo 600HO carbureted short block assembly. (no head, no stator or flywheel).
This is a remanufactured motor.
- Remanufactured crankshaft with all new OEM Koyo and FAG bearings. Trued to significantly better tolerances than OEM new!
- Remanufactured cylinders. Roundness, taper and clearance is all professionally measured and held to better than OEM tolerances,
- Genuine MCB cast dual ring pistons. MCB is the pioneer of the Ski Doo 600HO dual ring cast pistons. We have more in service than any other company.
- All new Premium gaskets and seals.
- New water pump bearings.
- New oil squirter check valves.
- Each exterior surface has been hot tanked, soda blasted, hot tanked after soda blasting and coated in a durable high heat ceramic paint that provides a brilliant and durable exterior surface.
This purchase requires a core engine returned to MCB with components that can be remanufactured. - Crank cases - Cylinder - Crankshaft
- This engine can be purchased with options:
A = Purchase short block as is and pay a $800 core fee that gets refunded back to you once you send your core engine back to MCB. This requires you to install your Trigger coils, Stator, Flywheel, reeds, Y-pipe and head onto the new short block from your existing engine.
B = Purchase the short block and send your core in prior to MCB shipping the engine, this avoids the $800 core fee. Then MCB ships once your core arrives. This requires you to install your Trigger coils, Stator, Flywheel, reeds, Y-pipe and head from your existing engine.
C = Purchase the short block, pay an additional $200. Ship your core to MCB and MCB will transfer your Trigger coils, Stator, Flywheel, and head onto the new motor. This avoids the core fee and ensures the rest of your assembly is completed properly. MCB will verify proper piston to cylinder head quench (clearance) for proper performance, compression, and fuel requirement. (pump gas).

What is considered a useable core?
- Crank cases cannot be cracked, have holes or missing pieces from a previous failure. Upper and lower crank case serial #'s must match.
- Cylinders cannot be ported, iron sleeved or have the skirts and or gasketed surfaces compromised for gasket sealing.
- Crankshaft is almost always a good core regardless.
Send photos of parts if in question.
Compared your engine to the last photo shown to verify trigger coil set up. Some 600HO's came without RER (rotax electronic reverse) and will only have two screw holes for one trigger coil mount. (RER requires two trigger coils). Most 2003 and up will have two trigger coil mounts / 4 screw holes. See last photo.
This particular engine is for the original REV chassis GEN 1 produced from 2003-2007. 2003 models will not have the factory crank seal protection plate. See photos.
