This option is to add a Spider to moveable sheave power puck. The stock RZR Turbo clutch uses sliding spider wedge blocks. The idea behind these are that they are self adjusting as they wear they just slide down further and at load (RPM) they are always tight between the two angles of the moveable sheave towers. This is a good design in general, however many Turbo customers complain of the "rattle" you get at idle. This is due to the fact that at idle there's not enough RPM or centrifugal force to slide the wedge blocks into position and take up the slack between the spider and moveable sheave towers. This is what causes the "rattle or knocking" at idle. Another potential down side to this design is that the sliding wedges are also somewhat self binding. The harder they load the moveable sheave the harder it is for them to let the sheave slide and close. Using these power pucks, these fill the gap and eliminate the sliding wedge blocks. They square up the spider to moveable sheave interface. With these inserts the surface area that is transferring the load from the spider to the moveable sheave is increased by 300% resulting in a smoother, less binding shift movement of the moveable sheave. These also in most cases eliminate the rattle at idle. When ordering these puck inserts they will be already installed by MCB when your clutch arrives.

When adding larger tires or using in high load situations (sand or deep mud) it is very important to use a higher load secondary spring. This saves on belt wear, keeps the clutches cooler by reducing belt slippage. Recommended if your tire diameter is +3" or larger and or if you use it in the deep sand or mud. Not a bad idea for heavier 4-seaters as well especially if have extra weight with spare tires, coolers, nerf bars etc etc .

Larger tires apply more load and stress to the clutches. Large tires significantly reduce overall performance if not properly compensated for. MCB custom calibrates all clutches for tire size, elevation, and riding style. When you see +1-2" or +3-4" this means that your current tires are 1-2" or 3-4" taller than stock. So take a RZR 1000 for example. They typically come with 29" tires. If you have 32" tires, then that is a +3-4".

We need to know your elevation in order to calibrate your clutches properly. High elevation (thin air, less oxygen) robs horsepower from the motor and clutching needs to be adjusted for this accordingly.

Comes fully calibrated ready to mount. Customized if you have oversize tires by choosing the appropriate box / tire size. We can also custom tune your clutch for specific applications. Rock crawling where high speed is not a need. Deep mud only where all you want is lots of low end torque. High speed trail of seasonal road running where you'll be in the mid to higher RPM's most the time. We can custom tune for your needs. Additional weights and spring rates are available for those need wide variation in adjustability.

This clutch is our own design. It is a replica of the OEM Polaris primary except our clutch uses superior bushing materials, special phenolic spider guides that can sustain significant more heat than OEM and provide the proper harness for maximum longevity. The faceplate is an all billet design that eliminates tower deflection, reducing binding and heat. The Billet face plate also allows for a larger bushing that is a self lubricating brass oil impregnated material. We use only the highest quality alloy materials for the sheaves and nitride coated tool steel on the main shaft and crankshaft mounting countersink area. The clutch is precision balanced. Add our Power Puck option for the ultimate in smoothness and durability.
