Description
MCB Polaris RZR 1000 primary drive clutch and secondary driven clutch combination FOR ALL 2016-24 NON TURBO models.
MCB Performance releases it's Polaris RZR 1000 Pro-series "BP" (big puck) clutch.
Two years ago we released our STD Pro-series Polaris RZR 800/900/1000 clutches. The reliability and success of these clutches exceeded our expectations with thousands sold across the USA and Canada. Taking the proven design to the next step with "BP" series design.
The original Pro-series design features the following design enhancements.
- Main post is 38mm vs stock 28mm, resulting in the faceplate bushing surface area to be increased by 44%. This results in a more stable moveable clutch half. Reducing clutch binding, scrubbing, friction, heat and noise by keeping the entire moveable half true to the fixed half for considerable more miles/hours before unsustainable wear occurs.
- In addition, the stronger open design Billet faceplate keeps the moveable sheave spider towers from flexing at the six bolt locations and causing premature spider puck wear by preventing tower deflection under high load.
- MCB Pro-series clutches use a splined spider vs threaded. High HP applications have proven to strip the aluminum spider threads, this cannot happen with the MCB Pro-series.
- MCB Pro series clutches do not use a spider jam nut. As many RZR owners know the stock spider jam nut only allows for 1/4" of thread engagement. Many have experienced the jam nuts coming lose and allowing the spider to move resulting in catastrophic failure. The MCB Pro-series uses a threaded collar that incorporates 1-1/4" of overall thread / loctite engagement. That's 400% more thread engagement.
- Now in addition to all the above listed features. The new Pro-series "BP" clutch will incorporate rectangular spider pucks that are are 25.5mmx20mm vs 16.0mm diameter standard puck. Resulting in 150% increase in surface area. Why is this needed? All HP and Torque that your given RZR makes is transferred to the moveable sheave in order to close in on the belt via the spider pucks! The fixed sheave just goes along for the ride. The moveable sheave does all the work clamping the belt for upshift / acceleration. Dispersing this load over a puck that is 150% larger prolongs puck wear, moveable sheave tower wear and deflection. Resulting in an overall smoother, longer lasting clutch that provides a more efficient transfer of horsepower to the ground.
- All MCB Pro-series come with a 1 year limited warranty and they are individually calibrated for your tire size, modification, riding style, and elevation.
The secondary clutch is a match calibrated full assembly with helix and spring already installed. Helix angle and spring depend on 2 vs 4 seater, tire size, elevation and riding style. (see options at checkout). This team tied design is identical to the snowmobile TEAM TIED design that we use with snowmobiles that have 320HP! This is a TRUE TIED roller clutch! Unlike the Polaris TEAM BOSS design that relies on the transmission shaft to assembly the sheaves one, this clutch has it's own common shaft that it is assembled on. This results in a TRUE TIED design with zero play / bind between the sheaves. It uses rollers instead of square slider blocks like your factory clutch (2016-24) that immediately turn into trapezoids and bind! You should never need another secondary clutch!
