Description
Forged pistons provide superior skirt strength and can withstand extreme temperatures as compared to cast. A forged pistons advantage over cast is skirt strength, and a forged piston will hold it's shape over considerably more heat cycles and extreme temperatures. Not to mention resistance significantly improves fatigue strength and impact toughness. This new alloy, combined with the already existing techniques of anodizing the crowns, machine smoothed heads and MOS2 coated skirts for smoother start-ups and break-ins, meets the demands for today's high performance engines. Replaces OEM p/n 3006-393.
Our propriety alloy does not have the thermal growth expansion issues (cold seizure / four corner) that most powersports enthusiast are used to with other competitors pistons.
