Primary Drive & Secondary Driven clutch pulley Combination BRP CAN-AM Defender HD11 Max, Lone Star, Limited Cab, DPS, 65" all options
Best primary drive clutch for Can Am Defender HD11 2026
23431539
This primary clutch eliminates the well known harsh / jerky engagement that is experienced on all Defender HD11's.
Primary drive clutch and secondary driven clutch pulley for Can Am Defender HD11 2026 all options. Clutches come fully calibrated ready to mount and ride. Both are custom calibrated for your specific model, HP rating, tire size (you will be prompted at checkout for tire size). This is not the standard replacement clutch (primary). This is a completely different concept on clutching (see extended notes). When buying a clutch set, combination it is the most optimal as we can calibrate both the primary and secondary together for your modifications. The biggest factor being tire size. It is extremely hard to compensate for +6" in only the primary and or secondary by themselves.
What you will receive:
- 1 MCB PB18 Power Block primary drive clutch fully calibrated with a 2 year warranty
- 1 OEM BRP or MCB version X3 style secondary (your choice at checkout) fully calibrated with a custom MCB billet helix and spring.
- 1 Set of instructions with torque values via QR code card.
- 1 Assistance before, during and after the sale.
MCB uses machined billet helixes in all our secondary set ups unless you choose to purchase the OEM version and you have stock HP and tire size. Then you will receive an all stock BRP secondary with a factory cast helix. Machined billet helixes are considerably more precise as compared to cast helixes. Machining guarantees exact spacing for equal load and 100% full roller contact on all three ramps. This eliminates any off-angle binding for more precise performance and longevity. The billet material is harder than cast and has higher resistance to allowing debris to embed in the ramps resulting in grooved rollers.
The MCB version secondary also uses our exclusive "Tuff Wheel Rollers". These rollers were originally developed for the Ski Doo line of snowmobiles. Significant dynamic load and impact testing was done at extreme temperatures. This testing resulted in a roller material that has been validated in the field for several years now. To date MCB has yet to see one of our Tuff Wheel Rollers fail on an X3 or Defender SxS!

Description
- Ultra Smoothness / Engagement
- Both clutches are precision balanced and works with stock belt.
- Superior belt squeeze, reducing heat and increasing belt life, putting all the energy to the ground!
- Improved torque and clutch response.
MCB performance has 35 plus years experience working with CVT centrifugal clutch drive systems. We have been racing and testing CVT style transmissions on snowmobiles for 35 plus years. We have seen the development of CVT with the increased HP ratings as snowmobiles developed. We have been able to use this experience and technology to develop and calibrate these same CVT transmissions on the fairly new world of SxS CVT systems. We have extensive experience is optimal calibration for Tire Size, Elevation, Riding Style, Performance modifications, etc. See our reviews online.
THE OVERALL DESIGN IS NOT NEW, WE HAVE HAD THIS EXACT DESIGN FOR SNOWMOBILES FOR OVER 10 YEARS. WE USE AND SELL THESE FOR SNOWMOBILES THAT MAKE 200+ HP. THIS IS A PROVEN DESIGN!!
Ultra-smooth low engagement, yet with improved torque and response as compared to you’re conventional OEM clutch.
- Superior belt squeeze, reducing heat and increasing belt life, putting all the energy to the ground!
- Improved torque and clutch response.
- Allows the machine to cruise at lower RPM yet still have quick response to throttle input.
- Tapered design allows the Center of mass to be considerably closer to the centerline of the clutch and more centered over the crankshaft stub, resulting in less vibration. This requires less inertia to rotate which is why it has the improved responsiveness mentioned above.
- 60% Less moving parts, no rotating parts. No rollers, no pucks, no flyweights, no flyweight axles. This results in superior longevity.
- Linear leverage. This clutch does not lose leverage at higher speeds like a conventional flyweight style clutch.
- The design features mentioned above allow this clutch to perform more consistent to the various riding conditions, tire size, and amount of weight (passengers) in the unit.
2- YEAR WARRANTY!!!
Personally tested and proven here at MCB.
