Secondary driven clutch for Can Am Defender HD7, Traxter HD7, Commander 700, Maverick 700 Trail 2022-26 . This is an original equipment Can Am BRP secondary clutch. You can buy just the clutch (two sheaves assembled) or you have the option to have us MCB install the spring, spring cup and snap ring to make a complete ready to mount secondary clutch. Most customers are not going to have a secondary spring tool to install the spring, cup and snap ring.

Customers using tires that are +3" or larger than stock, should install this MCB HD secondary spring into the secondary clutch. This is for higher load situations (large tires do this by nature) and holds the belt better as well as holds initial upshift back slightly longer. This is also ideal for mud or high load type riding (rock crawling).

This option allows you to choose if you want MCB to install the secondary spring, spring cup and snap ring so that when you get the clutch it is a full assembly ready to mount and ride. Otherwise you can re-use your old spring, spring cup and snap ring. Requires a spring compressor tool.

Larger tires apply more load and stress to the clutches. Large tires significantly reduce overall performance if not properly compensated for. MCB custom calibrates all clutches for tire size, elevation, and riding style. When you see +1-2" or +3-4" this means that your current tires are 1-2" or 3-4" taller than stock. So take a RZR 1000 for example. They typically come with 29" tires. If you have 32" tires, then that is a +3-4". Tire sizes that are +5-6 will INCLUDE the heavy duty secondary spring, This spring is needed to keep the belt from slipping with larger tires. (You Do Not need to select a HD Spring if offered in another Option).

We need to know your elevation in order to calibrate your clutches properly. High elevation (thin air, less oxygen) robs horsepower from the motor and clutching needs to be adjusted for this accordingly.
